1st Early Bird Registration Extended Until Friday

With the recent announcement on drupal.org and my appearance on the FLOSS Weekly podcast, we've had a recent surge of traffic and registrations for the Do It With Drupal event. In order to allow these new people a few days to take advantage of the first early-bird discount, we've decided to extend this discount until Friday (September 19th). Register on Friday before midnight GMT (8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific) to get the $895 rate for the 3-day event.

Registration includes admission to all sessions, parties, and social events, as well as breakfast, lunch, coffee, and snacks. More information about Do It With Drupal can be found on the speakers, schedule, and FAQ pages.

Talking Drupal on FLOSS Weekly

flossweekly.jpgLeo Laporte and Randal Schwartz had me on FLOSS Weekly last week to talk about Drupal, Lullabot, and silly jingles. I think we did a pretty good job of explaining Drupal and the Drupal community to the uninitiated. We also talked about some of the events and sessions happening at Do It With Drupal. All in all, a pretty good podcast. Check it out here.

Thanks to Linux Journal!

Thanks to Linux Journal for signing on as a Media Sponsor for our event!

LJ's content is beneficial to readers by providing in-depth information, to Linux newsgroups by reducing "novice" questions and to advertisers by providing them with a way to reach potential customers. Their mission is to serve the Linux community and to promote the use of Linux worldwide.

Linux Journal has been a long-time supporter of Drupal, from writing about it, to running their own site using the platform. We're pleased to have them on board!

jQuery Creator John Resig Speaking at DIWD

jeresig-wordpress-full_0.jpgWe're proud to announce that John Resig, the founder, creator, and lead developer of jQuery will be presenting at the Do It With Drupal Seminar.

jQuery is the JavaScript library distributed with Drupal and is the basis for all of its AJAX and drag-and-drop functionality. Additionally, Drupal add-on modules can take advantage of jQuery to provide their own rich user interfaces and improved user experience. And as someone who has spent time developing Javascript applications with and without jQuery, this library is a truly a work of genius which makes Javascript development both easier and more fun.

Come hear about the great features, plug-ins, and development happening in the jQuery community and how you can use these in your Drupal project -- from John Resig, jQuery's creator and project lead.
